Work it Wednesday No. 1

This week I'm linking up with Laura at A Little Bit of Lacquer for Work It Wednesday!

I work in a law firm which can be a little stuffy, and while I would love to dress super funky, I prefer to be tone it down a bit to be taken seriously at the office. I am lucky in that I can jazz it up occasionally because it's a small firm, and my boss is pretty lenient when it comes to dress code; I can even get away with wearing jeans on days other than Friday if I'm feeling a little lazy (or haven't done laundry hehe), so I consider myself pretty lucky in that regard.

I went a little crazy with this set. I just kept adding accessories and it turned into a whole mess of things I absolutely love!
Work It Wednesday No. 1

Those Intermix sunglasses remind me of glasses my grandma used to wear, she got them in Vienna, Italy probably 15 years ago. I personally thought they were a little out there when I was younger, but now I just love them! My favorite pieces have to be the printed scarf, the Le Silla platforms, the high-waisted sailor-esque pants, and the Valentino headband!

What do you think? Would you rock any of these looks to work?
Thanks to Laura @ A Little Bit of Lacquer for hosting this awesome weekly link-up! I'm looking forward to putting my look together for next week!

In other news, tomorrow I'm meeting up with my friend Adam and taking some outfit pictures! This will be my first "I WANT THESE SHOES" official outfit photo shoot and I'm so excited to share them with you! He's an awesome photographer and I've been conjuring up some ideas as to the location we'll be shooting at, so hopefully it'll be a hit!
Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone! This song is fitting for today, I just love Dave more than anything!

Friday's Fancies :: Good Day Sunshine

It snowed a little bit last night and there was a layer of frost atop everything throughout the day. The sun was bright and shiny all day, I'm glad it's starting to stay lighter out later in the day. I hated coming out of work to darkness at 5o'clock!

This is how I interpret the pink & red trend for the upcoming holiday. I haven't been a fan of pink so much in the past, but I think I may give it another chance. I also love these red lace gloves, so sultry! If I had the funds and somewhere extra fancy to go, I would wear this gorgeous Valentino gown on Valentine's Day. I want this Proenza Schouler leather satchel!

I just joined {av} at {Long Distance Loving} for Friday's Fancies! This is my first Friday's Fancies and I think I will be joining in weekly for Friday posts with a theme! This weeks theme is...you guessed it! Pink & Red! Enjoy!
Red & Pink

1. Duffy Striped Cashmere Sweater
2. Pink Skinny Jeans
3. Proenza Schouler Leather Satchel
4. Count on V top
5. Red skinny corduroys
6. Pink blazer
7. Red lace gloves
8. Colorblock wedge platforms
9. Valentino ball gown

Until we meet again! Have a great weekend.

It's that time again!

BGBG-  Tapis Espadrille
These are simple but there's something about them ! I love stripes. Rope wedges are always a classic.
Belle by Sigerson Morrison
I really like these funky Alpine-esque chunky heels. They're really out there. I'm not digging the lavender laces, but those are easily replaceable!

Betsey Johnson- Tiramisu
These shoes remind me of dalmatians! Lovee!!! I'm a sucker for stacked heels.

Free People- Thea Platform
I don't know what it is about these shoes but they have such an interesting structure! I love the big thick strap over the middle part with the small straps on the ends. The color blocking on the heel is a nice touch, too!

Sam Edelman- Lulu
These remind me of a funky version of some riding boots. GIMME!
Steve Madden- Gabbor

Steve Madden- Haiiku

Steve Madden- Troopa
I love Steve Madden so much. Even if it's a classic style or silhouette, he always adds such a nice touch that make the shoe extra special. Always classy, Steve Madden

So, I'll be honest .... I like some of Jessica Simpson's (or as we call her, J SIMPS) shoes.

You can't deny a great shoe, no matter what the brand... right? Well I guess it depends. But I was ashamed at first because I liked some styles that J Simps designed.
