Finally the weekend!

Hey everyone, hope you all are doing great! Any big plans for the weekend? My friends from work are taking me out tomorrow night to celebrate my new job! Need to figure out what to wear now that I mention it...

Well, I finally finished up my last day at my current job. My boss was nice enough to give me Friday off so I now have a long weekend ahead of me! I start my new job on Monday. I'm so ready to take on the fashion world. This is definitely a dream opportunity for me. I think the only thing I am kind of worried about is meeting new people, but I always feel that way at first and it usually turns out alright. So I'm just gonna try not to think about it too much.

Anyways! I have to wear all black at Hirshleifers so I'm definitely in need of some new staple items that I can mix and match! The worst part about the all black is that my New Years resolution for 2012 was to wear more color! And I actually followed through with that, so my closet is currently very bright and colorful. I guess it's time to darken it up again haha :)

By the way, check out www.hirshleifers.com to get an idea of the amazing products and designers I will be working with. I know I haven't shut up about it but I just can not wait to dive in. I seriously can't believe it's real!

Enough of my blabber and onto the good stuff... Just a few things I wanted to share with you all!

Channeling all black (well, mostly)

I love everything about this look! The top is adorable but the skirt is my favorite for sure. Unfortunately it's sold out, but you can find something similar here, or here for a more reasonably priced, faux option.

Now these pants are something to look at. They are definitely on my Christmas wish list!

Have a great weekend!

HEY!

Hey guys! Sorry for the extremely long hiatus... I've just been doing a little soul searching lately. I can't say I'm 100% committed back to this blog but I can definitely tell you I'm getting there. I just accepted a job at Hirshleifers, which is a high end fashion retailer here on Long Island! Check out their website... www.hirshleifers.com. I am seriously excited!

Just stopping by to give a little update. These shoes are #1 on my Christmas list...

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I hope you can forgive me for leaving this blog astray for way too long. Until next time!

Brief hiatus

Sorry for my absence.. things have been hectic lately. I got a new job and I'm starting June 4th. Also feeling a little under the weather. Need to find my groove and so the blog unfortunately cannot be a priority right now. Don't want you all to think I died or anything. Wishing you all well and I hope to be back soon.

shirt: on sale @ Sears, pants: Free People, Shoes: Mystique Boutique NYC, Bracelet: JewelMint

Please excuse my awkward self. This is why I don't like taking outfit pictures but I suppose that comes with practice. I also had to coax my boyfriend to take these for me haha. Today we went to Port Washington to get some delicious Mexican food. I seriously could eat Mexican food every day of my life, I love it so much. We had a late dinner, I made burgers at home while the guys watched the hockey game (Go Rangers!). Of course we all know tomorrow is Mother's Day... what are your plans? We're going over to Scott's parents house to have some BBQ, yum! I think I'm going to run over to Michael's and pick up some suede cord or something of that sort and make a bracelet using this tutorial from HonestlyWTF.

Here are a few of my Instagrams! Follow me @omgthursday!

See ya later! Thanks for reading :) Happy Mother's Day to all you mamas out there!

A little treat for your Tuesday and a walk down memory lane

Scott and I went to Germany and Amsterdam around this time last year. We found some amazing Euro-pop music that we just fell in love with. I still to this day stream a German radio station via my iPhone. I have to say that I miss Europe so much and would love to live there one day. The atmosphere and demeanor of people is so different than here in the US. I felt more at home in Germany than I feel here in New York. Maybe one day! I just wanted to stop by and share this song with you guys... It's no wonder this song is named "Hypnotizing" because it seriously has that effect on me!

I hope you enjoy the song and have a wonderful day! Thanks for reading :)

Here are a few pictures from our trip that send me a little walk down memory lane...
