NEON!!!

Happy Thursday!

 photos: Adam Michaelson

| Shirt & Scarf: H&M | Pleated Maxi Skirt: Old Navy | Coat: Miss Sixty (gift) | Boots: Stuart Weitzman | Necklace: Sears (similar) | Sunglasses: Dolce & Gabbana (old) | Bag: Big Buddah (c/o TJ Maxx, white version here)
Jewelry | Earrings: Gift | Rings: Crown ring (similar), Bear ring (Etsy), Silver ring (Etsy) | Cuffs: Asos (similar) |

This was my first official I WANT THESE SHOES photo shoot! My friend Adam was kind enough to come out and capture some pictures of me in my new green skirt! If you're looking for a skirt similar to this, I would go snatch it up now! Old Navy has this on sale for $10! I definitely couldn't pass it up. And can I mention that I'm really loving the green and gold combo?

Okay, I won't leave out the hilarious picture. The wind was going crazy! It was perfect for capturing the movement of this skirt. I felt very Marilyn trying to keep the skirt tame in the wind.

I hope you all have a great day, the weekend is so close! I can't wait! I just recently discovered this song, I really like it. The sounds are really interesting and it's just a funky song in general. I love Kimbra's voice. Enjoy!

Prints and patterns

Prints and patterns are obviously huge this season, and while I love floral prints- my heart belongs to geometric shapes and patterns. Chevron, herringbone, houndstooth, stripes, checkers, you name it- I love it. I'm just so attracted to the array of shapes. I don't know what it is!

Geometrics

Slouchy, oversized sweaters: Chunky Slouch Cardi and Coral Aztec Cardi (another similar style)
Earrings: Lucy Peacock "Vostok" Earrings (in black, too)
Necklace: Urban Outfitters (sold out, similar here and here)
Chevron printed dress: Dylana Mod Tunic Dress (sold out, similar print/style)
Shoes: Sam Edelman Lorissa
Shorts: Sadd & Bide Coming Back embroidered silk-blended shorts (sold out, other cute patterned shorts)

So this is a little random, but I just have to let out my frustrations.
Friday I was driving and listening to the radio around 5ish, and all of the radio stations have that stupid 5:00 remix hour or whatever it's called. I swear to you, there were THREE!!!!! different Adele remixes on three different stations. I agree that Adele has talent and she's a good singer, I just personally can't stand her songs. I think I could tolerate it at first, but with the amount of overplaying the radio does, it's made me hate her. So, there I was in 5 o'clock New York traffic, ripping my hair out and frantically changing the radio station only to find more Adele and more Adele and more Adele. AHHHHHHHHH! MY WORST NIGHTMARE!
Can anyone relate to this hatred I have? I'm sorry if you're a fan. I just couldn't hold it in any longer!

Anyway, have a great Monday! I have off work tomorrow because it's President's Day! Three day weekend, helllllllll yeah! I will celebrate by catching up on the 100 pounds of laundry piling up in the corner of my room and probably going to Old Navy to pick up a pair of colored denim jeans- thanks to Alyson at The Average Girl's Guide for the heads up on the sale!!

I'll leave you with one of my favorite songs. I actually have lyrics from this song tattooed on my arm! I'm your biggest fan, Rocky! :heart eyes:

Quick

I just had to stop by to rave about my new lime green mini dress I ordered from Savannah Marie at Everybody's Buying Vintage. I apologize for the not so great picture, but this is the best I could do at the time:

I was a little hesitant to wear this to work at first, because this dress is rather short; although I love short dresses, it's not so appropriate for the office. I couldn't resist the urge to wear my new threads today, so I threw on my oversized 99¢ Chinese eBay trench to cover up my backside. I also had to throw in my favorite gold cuffs from Asos (similar here and here) to tie into the gold buttons. For some reason, I have an obsession lately with gold buttons and I just want more and more! I must be going through a lime green phase also, because thanks to A Lacey Perspective I just bought this green pleated maxi from Old Navy (for less than $10!!). I had been looking for an affordable pleated maxi skirt for awhile and I'm so glad she posted about this one!

Make sure to check out EBV's active auctions, there are some really great and unique pieces for very affordable prices. Market Publique is also a great platform for selling, because they have bidding styled like eBay and it makes for great buying and selling!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for my Friday's Fancies! This weeks theme is: Let's Fly Away!

Until tomorrow! xx

PS: Have you heard this new song by Nicki Minaj? I'm obsessed. If you haven't heard it... well... You're welcome!! :)
